Two contrary scenes always simultaneously stand taboo in my mind whenever I think about Ho chi Minh city magnificent high buildings next to distressing rat-holes, sparkling waterparks beside canals broad(a) of rubbish, or rich people attired in glamorous clothes glacially passing with poor scarvengers. Development in many fields is not deniable but it goes hand in hand with a large number of environmental issues, which invite concerned me a lot.

In recent years, urbanization in Ho Chi Minh city in particular and in Vietnam in general, has pose many environmental chores such as decrease of pastoral land, irrational use of water, biodiversity loss, etc. In the limited berth of this paper, I mention only one major problem big cities facing today, which is agate line pollution due to traffic. Also, it is not the Governments macro-strategies that is referred to, but, from my point of view, how an individual can act their part to make this country a better point in which we live.

As the nations economy whizz alongs forward, motocycles have become the symbol of higher living standard of Vietnamese. Unfortunately, they argon the main sources, together with smoke from plants, of worrying level of air pollution.



Futher more, rural-to-urban migration has increased the citys population, leading to a surge in traffic, which has resulted in the growth of gas emission. Although transport understructure is not in good conditon, it is the overpopulation of the city, in association with the escape of awargonness of people, are the main cause of the problem. We must care for ourselves to traffic pollution. Obviously, it takes time for big projects on traffic fit to be put into practice but there are little things each of us can do without delay to solve this complexity.

Living in a big city, not witnessing massive deforestation or desertification, the impacts of environmental issues are intimately invisible to you. Yet everything is linked together.
