Charles Darwin

Charles Darwin is known to many people as the father of evolutionary biology.
He had 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He got married in 1839 and had 10 children however 2 died at infancy and unmatched at the age of 10.
He attended Revd. Samuel Butlers school in Shrewsbury when he was 9 geezerhood old.
Darwin was truly interested in chemistry. At the age of 13 he acted as an assistant in a small chemistry lab in his back garden. Where he and his brother experimented with chemical reactions and producing gases.
Darwin learned the proper methods of scientific experimentation while operative in his brothers lab. This helped him in his future career as a naturalist.
Darwin was to be admitted into Edinburgh University, in Scotland - known as having one of Europes to the highest degree distinguished medical schools.
In October of 1825 Darwin started medical school at the University of Edinburgh.
After 6 hard years of studying Darwin passed his exams with satisfactory results
In December 1831 Darwin sailed from Plymouth and set off for the Canary Islands.
On this voyage he collected specimens of insects, fossils, rocks, plants and marine animals. He numbered, catalogued and set forth them and sent them back to England to be researched.
This voyage lasted 4 years 9 months and 5 days.
