Charles Darwin is known to many people as the father of evolutionary biology.
He had 2 brothers and 3 sisters.
He got married in 1839 and had 10 children however 2 died at infancy and unmatched at the age of 10.

Darwin was to be admitted into Edinburgh University, in Scotland - known as having one of Europes to the highest degree distinguished medical schools.

In December 1831 Darwin sailed from Plymouth and set off for the Canary Islands.
On this voyage he collected specimens of insects, fossils, rocks, plants and marine animals. He numbered, catalogued and set forth them and sent them back to England to be researched.
This voyage lasted 4 years 9 months and 5 days.
In 1844 Darwin wrote his nurse: Geological Observations on South America which spelled out his theory of how the Andes Mountains were pushed upwards by slow geological forces over a very persistent period of time
1859 Darwins book called On the Origin of Species by means of Natural Selection. Was published.
In 1864 Darwin is awarded the Copley medal.
1871 George mivart argued against the idea of natural selection.
too in 1871 Darwins book The decent of man was published.
1872 Darwin finished the proofs for his book The Expression of the Emotions in Man and Animals. And 5,000 copies were change.
1875 Insectivorous Plants was published and sold faster and better than Origin of Species.
