HISTORY OF THE PORUS SEVENTH DAY ADVENTIST CHURCH FROM SHADOW (1930) TO GLORY (2011) The Porus one-seventh Day Adventist Church started in the early 1930s in a small district called Whitney Turn-Porus, Manchester. It is believed that this group was initiated by the Crosbys with less than twenty members. The church was located beside a sport station owned by one Charlie Thompson.
