Reflection Essay
Religion has been a conflicting issue consuming my thoughts since I get been receptive of independent thought. Growing up, I was only ever very introduced to one religion, as I have noticed is practise for m both families. It felt wrong to believe something just because you are told to do so, which is apparent through all of the childhood myths of Santa Claus, easter Bunnies, and tooth fairies. I learned at a very preteen age that believing in something based on rumour and faith only ever leads to disappointment. When I started to grow and my opinion was developing and curious, I started to question the religious beliefs of my family (a strict hammer of Holiness Pentecostal). Every question I asked was answered routinely with because its in the Bible and verified by a scalawag number and scripture verse. Of course that was never good abundant for me and I wanted more information. My curiosity and logic were the principal factors in my thirst for knowledge. Needless to say, many of my questions remain unanswered. The rightfulness is that I have never and just about likely pull up stakes never quench that thirst because I cannot register the boundaries surrounded by a scientific explanation ( cogent evidence) and the un rationalizeable (miracles of divine intervention).
To explain my beliefs or desire for beliefs is complex and possibly confusing. You cannot label something as a belief if you still carry doubts. What I believe without a doubt is that human beings live, age, and die in what appears to be a perpetual cycle of birth and death. This cycle of flip is an indicator of time passing, making time a accredited concept with abstract qualities. I also believe that most people make up explanations for things that they do not understand or even fear. I have never been knowledge to any form of spiritual existence or proof of any existing afterlife.
