All of the men in this play are seemed to be bad guys. They come off as expert men that have others in mind, only to ruin that billet by there coming actions. There is Tom, a obviously hard working family man who ends up leaving his family, frequently like his father Mr. Wingfield. Jim OConnor, a charming broad suitor who really is a player. The poor women of this play are surrounded by rotten men.
Tom Wingfield is not a address in this play but also the narrator. If we were to sound out Tom only based on his narrating we would say he is an educated young calm man, but as his character develops we see that this is not true. Toms temper comes out when arguing with is bring and you see he doesnt have such a kind heart. As shown in this passage,
