Image Analysis: Cinematography

What were three main
things I learned from this
session?

a.
In this weeks cover I learnt that the cinematographer
is the author of smartness in the film, and that this unique author
extracts the mickle of the film from the directors mind and
visualizes it in a way that takes hold of the spectator.

be things related to

might in like manner think nearly
skills development e.g.
note-taking,
argumentation,
presenting information
orally...)

b.
I as well learnt that a good photographer/cinematographer is
able to shadow at things that are beyond the screen. The
cinematographer tells the reference where to looking for and can draw
attention to a part of the scene with the manipulation of light/shadows. So
through the tool of the visual medium and light they are in fact
able to inspire within the audience an image that is in fact within
their own imagination.

This week I discovered how to use technical terms, to do
with lighting and image, when talking about the setup of a scene,
I learnt that all photographs are nonionic by a division of
symmetry.
What was new or
surprising to me?





I was surprised to learn about the transition of black and light to
colour the fact that it was not only a veridical transition, but also
a philosophical and psychological transition, where film masters
ideas and concept of film would have to also grow a nd change.

When examineing a film I did not understand the full complexity and
impact that light has on a viewer. I thought that it was just a small
begin I changed my mind part of the film that helped us see clearer! However, I now know
about something I
that light, like the actors and sound, can nominate and portray a
knew/thought I knew?
whole array of emotions and themes whilst also shedding light on
the characters inner life.
