Coca Cola Amatils (CCA) Mt. Franklin Spring water has released an improvement to its award winning Easy-Crush feeding bottle, which it claims to be even more environmentally intimate.
The Easy-Crush model is made by CCA use bleak bottle manufacturing technology known as blow-fill. The $450 million investment is the largest company investment in a decade, enabling CCA to design and lightweight bottles in Australia, New Zealand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and Fiji at heart the next four years.
CCA states Blow-fill technology enables products to be produced using slight PET resin, increasing efficiency in secondary packaging. A 2011 Master Thesis study of the technology found that Blow-fill has delivered a 22% reduction in the carbon footprint the alike of 1700 cars being removed off the road every year.
CCA states using 35% less plastic than its predeceasing model, the Easy-Crush bottle impressed judge with its design, coming in at 12.8 grams, the lightest of any 600ml water bottle manufactured in Australia.
The Mt. Franklin Easy-Crush Bottle took out the 2011 Australian package Covenant Sustainability Award for its revolutionary and environmentally friendly design.
The judges stating: The Mount Franklin Easy-Crush Bottle successfully promotes responsible demeanor by Consumers. The Simple twist and crush process reduces the size and amount of space needed to transport it back to cycle centres.
