In the book Night, by Elie Wiesel the briny character Eliezer faces going from having a good life to life history through the Jewish Holocaust. Eliezers faith in the goodness of the world is shaken by the stiffness and evil he witnesses during the Holocaust. There was a part of the book when a lower-ranking boy is hung, but it takes him a long time to die. opus the boy is dying slowly and they argon forced to watch, a man behind Eliezer asks Where is God now? Eliezer cant imagine that the concentration camps unbelievable cruelty could possibly show that there is any good left in the world. He wonders how a caring God could be part of such evil and how an unstoppable God could allow such cruelty to take place. While he is surrounded by all of this evil, he remains good. He does not commit knowing acts of cruelty against the others, and he remains loyal to his give.
