Great leaders ar able to see an obstacle and quash it with poise and determination. They non only stand up for what they believe in, but for what is average to everyone around them. Derrick Bell and Kimberle Crenshaw were both great leaders that overcome many obstacles in their life. Being an African American during the genteel Right Era was extremely difficult, and for Crenshaw, being an African American female brought more adversity to life. Both Bell and Crenshaw cut discrimination among race and gender. It was not only seen through-out cities and towns, but overly noticed in politics. These two are both lawyers and saw a great amount of politics in their field of work. With this being said, Bell and Crenshaw helped write the vituperative Racial Theory. The Critical Racial Theory was an academic discipline focus upon the crossway of race, law, and force-out; it provided critical analysis of the intersection between race, law, society, and power ( pass, Racism, and American Law). In the Critical Racial Theory, Bell focused more on intentional discrimination, whereas Crenshaw focused more on certain critical legal studies, most gender related.
