I chose the Brooklyn Museum for my identification since I had never been there and I was excited to visit. We walked into the American Identities, A New Look, and Making Art: Centennial Era, prove and I was surprised, Yes, it is not the Met but as I walked somewhat the gallery I found myself drawn in by many of the characterizations. I particularly liked three, one universe The Repimand, Ah! You naughty Fawn, You take in Been Eating the Flowers Again, by Arthur Fitzwilliam Tait, the second In The Mountains, by Winslow Homer, and the third Lake George, 1857, by John William Casilear.
The Reprimand. Ah! You Naughty Fawn, You Have Been Eating the Flowers Again.
1852 The Painter was Arthur FitzwilliamTait, (1819-1905). He was an American painter and lithographer natural in England. He came to New York in 1850. He was a painter of animals, outdoor and sporting scenes. He had a relish of the Adirondack Mountains and painted many scenes from this area, which were very popular.

The Reprimand is oil on canvas. This is a portrait of Mary Elizabeth Osborn, who is scolding, what I believe is a pet cervid since it has a leash, for eating the garden flowers. The colourise in this painting are bright and vivid. The girl and deer are brought forward as the painter encompassed them in light.

As I got shut outr to the painting I discovered the obscure brush strokes and detail, the deers fur is bathed in piffling brushstrokes to show the realistic deer hide with each fuzz emphasized it seems. The items to the right of the little girl are attractively portrayed. Her dress and apron are draped perfectly. This painting is an display case of Naturalism; this is one of the most potent elements of design in the nineteenth century. Realistic decoration based on close observation of the natural world is a great segment in art. Virtuosic depictions of nature became the hallmark of high art.
